ADVICE AT THE RIGHT PRICE

Don't always think you need a hundred bucks and a set of callaways to enjoy a great game at a good course. Let me introduce you to low cost fun golf. Kialla Country Club is a small golf club nestled in the heart of the fruit growing area of Victoria, Australia. Located about 2 hours north of Melbourne, along the Goulburn Valley Highway, this course offers you something a little different. Sure it has the couch fairways but the bent grass on the greens give way to sand, not like you find at the beach, this sand is oil soaked.
Now if you have played sand greens you will know what I mean when I say it is a little different, but........if you have never played on sand greens you need to experience the fun of adjusting you game to be able to bounce the ball on the scrape (the green), then learn how to make a scrape from your ball to the hole trying to keep the sand the same thickness, this is where you make your score, the thing I enjoy is how sharp my short game becomes after a couple of rounds.
As golf courses go Kialla Country Club is a gem, beautiful fairways, magnificent gum trees that have branches like long arms that seem to reach out and catch your ball, and the wonderful sand scrapes that require great imagination and touch to make par or better. The course is very flat with only a few bunkers. A creek wanders the boundary of 4 or 5 holes on the back nine leaving some golfers wishing they had a fishing line instead of a golf club.
The welcome you get from members of this club is nothing short of genuine aussie country hospitality and they are very proud of there golf course. For less than $15 a round this golf course is a lot of fun and great value.
